I did not want to start a new post to ask this. So what car would you guys recomend for my first car? I saw a 93 civic Si hatch. I really like that car and the price. But I also saw an 88; you know like the rally car kind. I also saw a few good priced late 90's cars. What would you guys recomend. Oh also the 93 has some rust above the rear tires.

dont do it, freind plays around like that and he also tries to save gas by coasting and accidently put in reverse lmao.

well for most newer cars they have a reverse lock out kinda........ you have to push the button in to downshift and put it in reverse.....
i know my 99does... but like ANY colum shifting cars thiers nothing protecting it.LOL and thats definatly a tranny killer along with tearing up everything else to the road
but nuetal drops are the number 1 killer of WANNA BE MANUAL drivers!
tho ill admit i did it in my old 66impala... ive also got its trany sliping......
