is it true that it hurts your engine's torque or whatever, if you have an automatic in Drive and you hold the brakes for a long time? since the engine is always trying to roll forward

Sorry I can't elaborate because of the txt limit. With auto, put e-brake on before putting in park. (takes load off of engine/tranny) With manual, don't hold clutch in for too long.

I usualy sit with the car in gear, foot on the clutch and foot on the break. If the queue is long then it's neutral and handbrake.

My clutch started making a squeaking noise when I engage and disengage it lol.. Don't know if thats bad or not, but. I also noticed its starting to slip a little shifting into 2nd.
Also, well what I usually do at stoplights is, wait for the light to turn green then go [8D].

What I usually do, is shift into neutral before a complete stop, and then just stay like that until its time to go! Good for gas mileage!!
