Default Will not Jump Start

I entered my unlocked car and could not start, no clicks or dash lights, nothing.
Opened my door and the alarm came on till it timed out.
Hooked up jumper cables and charged a while.
With the engine revved up the civic still will not start, no clicks but I do have lights now.

I bought the car used with this alarm and have no remote for it, I'm wondering if I need the remote to reset a possible Kill Switch or something.

Any ideas or advice or something?

Thanks

Just wondering... How can you rev the engine, without it being started?

Sounds like the alarm had a killswitch. I'd pull your lower dash panel on the driver's side, find the brain box for the alarm, and start pulling wires off of it. It's useless to you if you don't have the remote.

unless someone knows that there are other safeguards and that's a BAD idea?
