You don't think I gap plugs before installing them?!?!?!

 

I have basically given up on this car, already typed up a FS ad to go up the second the Teg passes inspection.

However, I just bought a set of new spark plug wires to see if that fixes the hesitating during cold engine temps. They havent ever been replaced since I did the engine swap, so it doesn't hurt to try.

A new alt. belt was just ordered, too. It currently squeals at night only, rain or not. I cannot tighten the belt anymore since the tension is set to the max it can go. I am thinking the belt is stretched and just needs to be replaced. $7 for a replacement so I went for it.

Planning on getting a new driver axle for it in the very near future. Right now, I am running on 93 DA axles for both sides. I have found that the 86-89 Integra axle (driver side at least) is about 1 inch shorter, same spline count. That should help the binding problem under heavy-ish acceleration. I have gotten used to the binding/vibrating. When a car doesn't do it (you know, everyother car), it feels like there is something missing. LOL

Just an update about the paint. It needs to be redone.. big time. There are brown streaks coming through the paint on the hood (possible rust), flaking all over the roof, and there are numerous random stains all over the car from my dirty hands touching it. White rubber stains, but doesn't clean 100%. I will never suggest P dip to anyone personally.

Civic was sold tonight thus ending the project... extremely sad that the car is gone as I owned it for 6 years. Car was 100% stock when I purchased it and pretty much everything I have ever learned about cars either came from this car, or was researched and attempted on this car.

It was my toy for the past month as the Teg switched to full time use, and I couldn't justify having two cars. Looking to buy a house soon hopefully.

I was lucky enough to have my brother take a few pictures of it while I was at work. Night time pics with my phone sucks to say the least.









It was tough to walk away from it after the paperwork was done and the plates were switched. However, it is definitely time to move on, and I hope the new owners take care of the Civic. Countless memories with the car will never fade away.
