Bored... Here's my new addition(s) to the car that I grabbed from work.

So let's see... that exactly 26.8 whp for each sticker. 26.8whp x 2 = 53.6 whp!!!!! What now?!?! LOL

Anyways, I sold the header today. The new one will be ordered tomorrow.

I'll also be going over to the Honda dealership to pick something up for work and some Honda-Bond. Then, it's off to Pepboys for an oil filter. I plan on getting the oil pan replaced over the weekend. Hooray for no more oil leaks!.... hopefully.

So are you getting any money back from the ebay seller still on top of what you sold it for? If so, nice work. haha. You should just get a CF hood with small vents or something instead of hacking the stock one. CF looks sick with silver and would look even sicker when you paint it gunmetal.

I decide to not deal with the ebay/paypal nonsense. A lot of people were interested in it, so I figured it would sell. If I sent the header back to the seller, the coated fiberglass wrap would have to be removed. It's too cold to be doing that. lol I sold it wrapped for $115 and I ordered my new header yesterday.

I won't be cutting up the stock one, I would get a replacement hood so my car wouldn't be down at any point. Just worried about water getting in there. I really need to get a pic up of the current intake "wall". That shield over top of the intake is gone now (which is why I am worrying about water on the filter).

Other news, I attempted to install the z6 oil pan today. F-ing freezing out here first off. The oil pan was cleaned off, the top part where it meets the gasket was sanded down a little, the whole thing was simple greened and soaked in extremely hot water, and wiped dry. I line it up with the two sets of studs on the tranny side, then the crank side, only to find out it won't fit. The holes for the studs (in the corners) are off a little. That would mean I would have to drill out the holes, and then modify the gasket as well, only to hope it would solve my minor oil leak issue. I decided to make a full honda-bond gasket and re-installed my stock y8 oil pan after cleaning it.

Anyone need a z6 oil pan/gasket? I no longer need this one. My FS thread will be updated with it tomorrow possibly.

I also flushed out the old nasty brake fluid today as well as rotated my tires. General maintenance FTW! Doesn't seem like much, but when it's 20* wind chill brings it to 16*, I feel that's an accomplishment.

Cleaned up my part of the garage tonight and snapped a couple pics of the intake "wall".

It needs to be re-made as this was a test/experiment. With the hood propped, not fender liners, and no splash guard underneath it gets dirty in their, quick. Peep the salt yo!

Thoughts? Ways to improve the idea?

going back a lil ways into your thread cv, when you bought your new valves were they pretty easy to install? and when you take em out did you have to retime anything, like im gonna start rebuilding my valvetrain and most likely will be replacing my pistons to some forged pistons. also ive been doing some research on the superchargers, im really liking what ive been reading about them, where exactly did u get yours again?

Well, in order to take the head off, the timing belt comes off of course. You have to set the timing with the dizzy and looking at the crank shaft.

Compressed the valve springs, removed the retainers, pull out valves, lap/grind new valves in. Put it all back together. Wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Just kinda time consuming.

I got the SC used off some guy on Clubcivic.com. Got a good deal on it and had a little extra cash from selling all the exterior parts I had and the turbo parts. I have seen them as low as $800, but the D series JRSC is I guess a little rare.

I would love to upgrade the blower to a M62, M90, or a M112. M112's are off the Ford lightnings. I would just have to have a fabbed up adaptor in order for it to bolt onto the IM. Kinda like what people do with the HF manifolds/adaptor/turbo set-up. M90 or a M112 blower, 11 psi pulley (hittin' 12 psi with the stock crank), meth. injection, 11.5:1 compression, upgraded rods/bolts and I would be set

That's basically what I did.

S/c's don't usually yield as much HP as turbo builds do, but not everyone wants a High HP dyno queen. I am too busy having fun with my lower end torque.

ya i heard they dont make as much power but the torque is super nice. i read a review from a guy that does deliveries (like myself) and said he noticed maybe a 1 mpg drop in the city and actually improved his highway mpg
