I think i'm just gonna leave it alone then. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
I have other things I need to buy for my car... like the remainder of my turbo build, and some new wheels/tires

Thanks man. It seems every time we try getting a meet together everyone's busy. So, we'll have to try again when it get warmer.

I have a mini-update...
It's the middle of winter but I gave my baby a car wash

be careful with those hood dampers... the end of one of mine snapped right off, and PWJDM won't do **** about it... definitely never buying from PWJDM ever again.

lol, right before winter started. BUT, they're not stock, they're JDM styled blacked out housings with city lights.

I was disappointed in the overall light output with the HID projectors in the stock housings. I think that the OEM glass' rippled surface scattered the light all over. Oh well.

It's just 2 inches shy of 3 feet. I can't wait to install it. I'll remove the stock mirror for the windshield and the sun visors as well. Then attach the brackets to where the sun visors once were attached.

Also, I've been helping a good friend of mine with a mini-me swap. He has a 90 CRX Si. He had a bad head gasket for a good 6-7 months now, but it finally got pissed. So, since I conveniently convinced him last summer to buy parts for a mini-me swap, he had everything ready to go.

He's going with the Z6 head, while retaining the stock D16A6 block, intake mani, dizzy, exhaust, and computer. We're keeping it OBD0 for cost and simplicity reasons.

Yesterday Afternoon: After the smoke storm...
We focused on just getting the old head off, it was Super Bowl Sunday for pete's sake.

It was also time for remove the non-functioning A/C components.

I went back over this evening and he had already prepped the donor head and the stock block. We threw on the head and Intake mani.

Before I left for the night we got it started (with my own spark wires as he forgot to pick up a new set).

We're going to finish it up tomorrow by installing a new radiator, as his old one was anorexic, then filling and flushing the coolant system. I'll try to remember to bring my actual camera to capture the miracle of rebirth.

This changes the compression from 9:1 to about 10:1. We haven't even wired the solenoid for VTEC yet and it is quick!!

Also, here's a snap shot of how we had to modify the stock dizzy (from the D16A6) to work with the Z6 head.
