Yeah, it's definitely in the works. I just took some snap shots. My DIY, will be nice and detailed and hopefully completely straightforward, as I always try to do. I'm waiting on the switch (which I bought before I bought the pole so it should be here by now) and for the stupid 'security' nut that mounts on top of the bumper. It's basically a power antenna nut. I have to find one since my pole didn't come with one...
They look like this...
They look like this...
Don't worry most seasoned forum goers may not even know what it is...
...it's a 'JDM' super cool yo... ...Parking Pole. a.k.a. Bumper pole
It's function is to look 'cool' and JDM...
...but its secondary function is to, when fully extended, indicate where exactly the passenger's side front corner of the car is. It makes tight parking situations easier.
It was an option in Japan because of their super tight parking spaces. That being said, it's relatively unnecessary/overkill for the U.S. but I do have to street park from time to time.
Furthermore, I got it because it's a 'cool' toy to have more than because I suck at parking.

^yep, it's definitely not for everyone. It's my dorky electrical engineering side that like little toys and gadgets like these.
lol, j/k
Anyways, Got the switches in...

Here's some 'better' photos of the pole, just in case people were interested...

And since the pole didn't come with the top bumper nut and bushings I'm going to make 'em out of these...

A little epoxy, a dremel, and a M16 x 1.0 tap and it'll be done.
