Make a thread in something like the general Civic section, or the appearance section, make the DIY, and PM wellfedhobo or another mod/admin to move it.

Hey guys I need some advice..
So as some of you guys man know, my d16z6 smokes while at higher rpm, (and i also noticed it does it after taking off from a stop after going down a hill at ~50mph.. lol)

I was really gonna go with a b18b swap.
Pretty much because i cant find a tunner around here. closest one is in sacramento. a almost 3 hour drive.
So if i went with turbo, i would have to drive it pretty far to get it tunned. (or tow it...)

But with all the money that is gonna go with a B series swap, i can make more power with less or the same amount of money by going FI.

By the way the sol will not be my dd, but it also wont be a drag car. More like just a weekend car kinda thing.
if i were to turbo it would probably be no more than 180-200hp. (to start off with lol)

cant make up my mind..

Hmm i say efff it and go for the K swap!

Lmao jp, idk id stay away from a D series motor unless u want minor power but otherwise basically anything is game in my book lol a B18 would be fine...maybe find a H22?

H swap is out of my league lol
And IDK. i think i wanna start small. im still only just learning and stuff.
I think a D series would be good enough for a while. if i blow it..findind a good deal on a d series replacement isint hard. you know?

The only downer i see about going turbo would be getting it tunned.
i would probably get a basemap and make the trip to the tunner or something. Not sure.

And if tunned properly i shouldnt have problems with a Smog Check. Right?

i like your idea, should look killer. and i vote for the d, those motors can take a lot of harassment, and when you blow one there a lot cheaper then a b/h/k.
