paint those wiperarms! lol

for your axles, get remanufactured ones from Auto-zone, they have a lifetime replacement warranty and they're cheap

^ i was going to do that today actually, already got the spray can. but i put it off for tomorrow morning cuz it was too hot outside.
So i made the trunk floor out of some thin plywood i had laying around... pics later tonight or tomorrow.

And for the axle, Thanks i'll look into that!
even though my dad works at ACDELCO and can get them for cheap probably. but it wont come with lifetime warranty. or at least i doubt it.
The transmission motor mount was 19 dollars from his job i believe lol

So I got the lights yesterday,
and installed the cluster and switches lights today.. and those went smoothly..
And then i got to the AC controls, and i couldnt get ANY of the screws on the bottom.. pissed me off.. lol
Any ideas on how to get those 3 dam screws?
Im getting ready to just go and get a dremel tool and grind the head of the screws off.. THAT would work...right? lol

just remove the front cover of the climate control. bulbs are accessible from there. idr how it comes apart though, maybe those are the bolts you're referring to lol

Oh you dont have to take off the stereo and unscrew the 3 screws from the bottom?
It seems like the screws back there have been messed with before. they are super tight and worn out. so its really difficult to get a good grip on them

what 3 screws?

you take the stereo off and there is one screw holding the climate control into the dash. It is right in the middle, directly above the wire harness plugs, with the threads pointing straight up. Then you get under the passenger side of the dash and unhook the temp slider cable from the temp slider mechanism.

^ thats the exact screw im talking about. its pretty round.. lol
Oh and i thought i had to unscrew the other 2 screws that are under there. with the threads pointing towards the trunk. that just makes 1 screwed up screw to take off.lol

So I was gonna buy the shifter boot of the guy on ebay, but then i saw a big sign at the Joanns store that said 45-50% off on marked items. so i had to stop lol i had never been in that store before.. but i was hopping they would have dremel tools for cheap..(turns out they didnt have any lol)
But then i saw fabric that looked just like the boot is made out of! and it was at 50% off. so i bought half a yard in an attempt to make my own boot. lol

Total cost was $2.49.
I seriously wasnt expecting it to end up looking like it did. but i wanted to try it since it was so cheap
come out pretty good IMO
will put up pictures once i get em off my phone

IMO it came out nice for my first time lol
Its a bit baggy, but i wanted to make sure it wasnt too short or small..
But i can adjust that, all i have to do is pull the extra down towards the bottom, to make it have less extra up on the top

All i know is that its 10x better than the one i had.. it was like 2 inches too short and was ripped from the bottom.
and for the price of $2.49 its even nicer lol
and it would of been cheaper but i bought like 3x as much fabric as i needed.
Tomorrow ill try making my ebreak boot...lol

That's a nice job, especially that cheap.

I do want to let you know that the guy on eBay I referred you to uses real italian leather though... much nicer material
