DaOne's del Sol Project
Cvcr. Yeah I Ment like all the brake lines and stuff still showing.
Haven't been able to find a d16z6... but I've found a d16y7 selling for 30 bucks with a spun bearing.
So I might just have to pick that up I guess :-\

Stay away from the spin bearing, you don't want to use a y7/y8 crank I you can help it. Only have one oil hole thing (forgot name) on the crank for each rod vs 2 on z6.
Just saw now you asked about clearances and stuff. I ended up going super built on my y8, forged everything, built head, so my numbers will be a little different but.
Piston to wall: .0035"
You will want to run between .002" and .003" with vitaras to reduce slap. My supertech pistons are forged so they expand more which is why I have a larger gap.
Top ring: .017"
Second ring: .020"
Oil control rings: .020"
My top and second ring are a little looser than what you should run also. I'm going for 300 to the wheels so I'll be creating a lot more more heat in the cylinders so I had to give my rings room to expand.
As for bearings, just keep them within factory spec.

Its been a while since I've been on the site, been busy with school and work.. but summer is almost here and its time to hit the track lol
All Ive really done is:
Got the block with the vitara piston and custom lenght rods installed.
Turned up the boost on the 15g greddy turbo to 15psi.. turbo was blowing nothing but hot air after 15psi.. it was really heatsoaked towards the middle of the tuning session. Even when the outside temps that night were in the high 20's low 30*, but what can I expect from such a small turbo lol this turbo is great for the stock block
This time I was tunned on Hondata s300. Its such an awesome program. definitely cool to datalog on your own and change your launch control and everything as you please.Highly recommended
I also got a electric exhaust cut-out. it sounds like a mean loose rapist with it open. But it just spins the tires too much since it builds boost even faster. its fun from a roll though lol
Im starting to piece my next bigger set up.
Just picked up some 790cc RC injectors the other night.
Im just waiting for a good deal on a turbo and mani.
Thinking about going with a holset hx35 or something around there. still doing some research and deciding.
This saturday will be the first "test n tune" at the closest track from me (1 hour away from my house.
So i might be going out there and see how I do this time before i upgrade the turbo.
I will also be getting it dynoed next month with a bunch of friends that decided to rent the dyno for the whole day. its only going to be 50 bucks a person so it should be fun to see what its making ATM.
Im hoping to hit 400 by the end of the summer. after i get my bigger turbo set up running. Should be fun.

Good to hear the build is still going. H22 Civic of mine is sold now in favor of the more comfy Integra. Someone should be sending me money for my s300 tonight actually! I will miss it because it was the single most important part of my car when going through all of the set-ups I had.
I always recommend a S300.

Yeah I saw that you sold it!
An Integra is a nice platform to start with though, so that should be fun aswell.
Why dont you keep your s300? Not planning on messing with it on the teggy?
