What bothers me is that it's a 6th gen type R lip on a 5th gen del Sol. The Honda purist in me says NOOOOOOOOooooooo!

But if you had time to paint the lip and side skirts milano red to match the car, it might look decent.

Yeah i still need to adjust it a little. tomorrow its supposed to be around 100* outside, so I'll be able to mold it a lot easier after it sits in the sun for a bit. There is not lips made specially for the del sol's, so you kinda gotta make it work.

@Hobo
lol why does using different Gen's parts bother you? J/C.
What about using parts from an integra/del sol in a civic? like seats/rims lol.
Just curious lol

A friend of mine got a Mazdaspeed 3. its a torque beast!
It weights a good 1,000 lbs more than my sol tho lol

I dunno. It's a Civic Type R lip. The true CTR was a 96-98 EK thing. It doesn't make sense to put a CTR style lip on a del Sol because there was no del Sol Type R. The lip seems too big for the front end because it was designed for a bigger car.

Rims and seats don't really matter to me, though. LS mesh rims can go on any Honda/Acura and look good. Same with Si's. And the del Sol seats are rumored to be comfortable for skinny people.

I think it looks good, but I think a spoon replica would look better. And **** all this Honda purist bull****. Do what you think looks good, and in the end you'll have a car that you enjoy and can be proud of. I think your Sol is coming along nicely. Keep it up.

Im getting my head rebuild this weekend hopefully.
Valve stem seals are bad... Burns a bit of oil after cruising downhill for a bit.
That will hopefully get it fixed.

For gaskets, I would just go to hondapartsdeals.com or a similar site and get OEM stuff.

I went out to the dragstrip last night.
IT WAS AMAZING!
They had a import shootout event.
A friend with a boosted B18 in a white hatch took it home! during the event they didnt show times, it was whoever passed the line first would move on, loser would stay. before the event he ran a 11.6 at 122MPH!
he wasnt the fastest, but he was the most consistent. thats for sure
there was about 5 Evos, 3 sti's, 2 talon's, and a few srt4's, and ofcourse like 8 honda's.. hatches, crx's and coupes.

And i told myself i wasnt gonna run my car.. (the track is 1.5 hours away from my house) because i was afraid of not making it back home on my own. haha (stock clutch still).
But once i got there i couldnt help it lol
I did a few runs, i didnt do it for the times, just the experience..and to know what its like for when i bump up the boost =]

I ran with my spare tire, tool box, small jack, 10 inch sub, a few waters (lol) and my girlfriend in passanger seat in both the runs. she recorded them both from inside, will post those videos when i get them from her.
I went against my friend oscar and his evo.

Yeah, my times arent the best. But i honestly think i did great for what i had to work with. I had a blast, and thats all that matters.
I wasnt the slowest out there either haha
there was civic's out there running 17's... 18's.. and srt that kep running high 16's ... along with other slower cars haha.

I launched at ~2.5kish rpms both times, and i was still getting a bit of wheelspin at first (worn tires). clutch at top of first gear is not there. stupid stock clutch LOL. im surprised my clutch is still holding something.

my first run was the best one i had, after that the clutch kept giving out during boost and shifts. (along with my home made slicks, LOL! )

Im sure i could of ran a high 15 at least. with just me and an empty trunk.
i was going to give it a try, but after my 2nd run and having the clutch slip in boost and shifts, i decided driving home would be more important than a 15 sec pass and getting towed. LOL
