I know the sony speakers arent that bad cause i have two of them in the back half of my hatch (for those of you who own a hatch or have owned one you know what im talkin about) and they sound prety good so ima go sony for the door speakers...ill find a good sub and amp hopefully on CL. Idk about the headunit i dont see how they could be "bad" you know? Ima just get whatevers cheapest i guess and still has the aux plug in thing

 

Sony's headunits arent bad, just stay AWAY from dual, it is garbage /story.

 

Yeah Everyone tells me that sony and car audio arent the best.
But i wouldnt know i never had any sony amps or speakers..
and i agree you should just look on craiglist for amps.
just test it out before you buy it.

 

I have heard from other people that sony sucks for cars, but I'm pretty satisfied with my Sony head unit. I have a sony xplod from a pawn shop for 20, and its slightly nicer sounding than my entry level Alpine that I had previously.

like nike said, Dual, Pyramid, and Legacy are all junk, cant stress that enough. If i were you I would look for something nice on ebay for 50 bucks.

I still have my alpine head if you're interested, but I replaced it because it skips. Probably needs a cleaning inside, but im not good with electronics. Its a cde-7870, and I have the alpine pigtail harness. I'd sell it for 15 plus shipping.

And its funny cause im prety sure that my current head unit is a Dual one hhaah it blows for real Thus my reasoning for wanting a new one

Bad news...car might be dead...found out my battery shorted out on me driving through Austin on my way home yesterday...had to get it towed 50 mile home. Im realy sick of this thing, hopefully we'll get it traded in or maybe ill buy a new car.

Oh yea guys...everything got efffed up. The alt had some short in it and the whole car went loco...my battery blew up no joke under the hood and melted a lot of shiz...replaced the bulbs, alt, all the fuzes (it blew every one of them), the relays had to be fixed...uhm and now the tach, speedometer, blinkers, etc still don't work. lPlus something huge is draining the battery cause they replaced it this morning and it was already dead by 5 pm

So long story short, once this thing gets back up to acceptable parness...shes being sold to someone who will put up with all of this ish. I went out and financed a 2002 Nissan Frontier pickup...a very nice truck if i do say so myself.

New info, its a 4 cylinder p/u for those of you who dont know that already. Its a prety nice truck and has no problems as of now. I dont have a camera but if i can take some cell pics and email em to myself ill try to post em here...sad to see "The Hatch" go but she was giving me too many problems to keep sinking money into her. Ill keep yall updated.

My truck is prety cool i like it. Its nothing like A2B's silverado but its still nice

I had to drive the 2 hr trip back home to go to work this morning but they still dont know whats wrong with the civic *insert sad/pissed off face here*
