This is the most excited I've ever been. To get these both today was extremely nice.

Matte Black Innovative Mounts with 70a race bushings. The guys at Innovative suggested stiffer inserts because the street ones tend to tear.

Dude it took me forever to read about your progress! I love your car man! This is a side note but whats with the small block chevy in the background of your garage picture?? Who has bad taste in your family? XD

I'm totally loving the k20 swap man. I'm not sure what a K20 is tho. I assume a 2.0? And judging by the ignition system something fairly new? This is really making me want to do some work on... anything! haha. My MoCivic is junk so... yeah. I'm keep check on this beastly car :3

^exactly. Honda engine codes are formatted like "K20a3", where the K is the series, the 20 means 2.0 liter, and a3 is basically the kind of head it has. I have a D16y7, so it's a D series 1.6 liter y7 (non-vtec) head.

I love the progress. This is the first K-swap project on HCF in a long time.

There's actually about 5 complete small block chevy motors in my garage lol. My dad races a stock car at a speedway about an hour from where I live so I've always been around them. Look up a K-Series engine on wikipedia. They are from RSX's, 06+ civics, 02-05 civic si's, 02+ accords, elements, etc... It uses ignition coils rather than a distributor. Much more reliable.

Yes, this motor is a 2.0l. I plan on upgrading to a 2.4l later on though.

Should be getting the last few things I need this week. Had to order a different clutch line from Karcepts. Gonna get some more stuff tomorrow like spark plugs, oil, etc.

Picked up oil, coolant, some rubber caps, dropped off the flywheel for resurfacing and got some spark plugs. Hope I get something in the mail today.

Got my Honda stuff and got the flywheel back from the machine shop so I decided to put everything together...

The tranny went on with no problems at all. Extremely easy, surprising since I was by myself. Just gotta get the half shaft on and a couple small things before it's ready to go.
