Reaper's Mustang Project (abridged version)
I don't know, that might have something to do with it. I know Buddy Club's P-1 UCAs are reinforced so you can tighten the bolts more without warping the UCA.
And I'm thinking about wheels a little more. I'm thinking if I'm going all-out with the suspension, why not go all-out with the wheels? I'm thinking either Volk TE-37s (color depends on what color EG I find) or Buddy Club P-1's (again, color depends on the car) in 16x7, +42mm offset.
*edit: I think what's going to happen is I'm going to get camber/caster plates for the mustang soon. Then, I'm going to set the alignment back to factory specs (so no more negative camber). Then when my friend gets down here 9/19 or 9/20, I'm going to list the mustang on CL to see what people are willing to pay for it (I think I'll ask $5,500 and state I'm willing to neg.). If I can get at least $5k for it, I'll take the deal and probably buy an EG, then use the rest of the money for a sportbike.

w00t! The armrest cover, shift boot, and e-brake boot came today! (even though I'm most likely getting rid of the car)

The fit isn't perfect on the armrest cover (can't get some of the wrinkles out), but the e-brake and shift boots should be just fine. I'll hopefully be installing those tomorrow over lunch, so finished pics up next time I get a chance to get on the internet.

well with the arm rest. put it in the dryer for about 5mins then re stretch it!
the heat will help it stretch out....
hell my tono cover on my truck is a PITA to stretch when its lower than 70 degrees... but if its over 90 degrees that thing is SUPER loose! its about 1-2inch difference with the cool weather.
hopefully they come out smooth as butta...

Well that's not the problem; the problem is they made it slightly too big with elastic on the bottom edge so it can stretch over the existing armrest. I just can't quite get a tight enough fit over it. I'm not too concerned with it; personally I don't think it's too noticeable. What I'm kind of disappointed by is the pictures; they really don't do the colors justice. The black leather is almost a perfect match for my dark charcoal interior. I mean, you really can't tell it's two separate colors when you look at the center console and armrest.
YES! Im glad to hear your coming back to the Civic world haha. Im about to slam mine more, but on coilovers. Im sure you'll hate the slowness after having the Stang for a while. Im happy with my B swap, but H is the way to go if you can find one at a decent price.
Okay, sorry I haven't posted in a while; I haven't had a chance to get on the internet lately.
Anyway, after thinking about it for how long, I've decided to keep the stang for a few reasons. First being the time and money I put into it; I know I'll never get it back, but at least if I have the car I have something to show for what's been put into it. The second reason is that I have a torquey rear-wheel drive car. I don't think I'm ready to give it up for a relatively torqueless front-drive car (yes, civics can be built to be torque monsters, but it's not cheap and you still have the inherent problems that come with front-wheel drive). The last reason is that I really want to actually finish a project for once, no matter how long it takes.
This isn't to say I won't be getting another EG. I'll hopefully have one to DD by next year (probably towards the winter). The way I see it, the mustang will be engine-less for no less than a few months while I'm building the engine, so I'll need a DD while that's going on, and what better DD to toy around with than an EG/EK?
Anyway, I have the shift/e-brake boots in now, but I'm at work (slow day... 4 cars have come in so far), so I can't upload the pictures. Rest assured I'll be posting them when I get a chance.
But I made the mistake of starting to look at paint colors today (again, slow day at work lol)... I never realized how hard it is to pick a paint color. I know I want House of Kolor paint (they are the best in the industry after all). I've narrowed it down to four colors; all either orange or red metallics and/or pearls. I'm leaning heavily towards Burnt Lime over Molly Orange, with either gold or orange flake in the clear. I figure I have another year to make my decision lol
