Well today sucked. I got my fog lights back in, one of the lenses is cracked, but at this point I don't care. So I went to pull my torque mounts to fill them with polyurethane. Passenger side comes out fine. Go to impact the driver side off the frame rail, the weld on the nut fricken breaks off so the nut is spinning inside the frame. So I try the other bolt, same fricken thing. So I drilled 2 holes next to each other and made a nice lil cut out big enough to get a wrench in to stop the spinning of the nuts. I said fk it and just tightened the bolts back down and filled it with pu while it is on. I filled the passenger side one and it'll go in on Saturday. But the best part of today is my fricken outer cv axle boot on the passenger side decided to rip and sling grease everywhere. So now I get to put a new axle in next week. Only $30 something from Napa for a remanufactured and after giving them my old axle. Won't take very long either, pretty straightforward. So I'm driving my car to work tomorrow and back and then it is sitting til I get the axle. Awesome. I'll upload pics of the fogs and the mounts tomorrow.

Here's some pics.

There's the slit I had to make to get a wrench in.

And here's some pics of the car, lookin a lot better, just need to paint the bumpers.

And my new axle to go in on Monday

I'm really thinking about shaving my bay... Buy a flux core wire feed welder, just a cheap *** one, as long as it can make a lil pool it is fine. I think I could pull the motor, pull all the lines, paint the lines and **** black, replace rusty bolts, try and clean up my block, fully tuck the engine harness, relocate battery, weld up the holes, grind them smooth, evercoat metal filler to smooth it out, spray primer and black and clear, put engine back in, put everything back, all in like 3 weeks. If I do this I want start next week so that I can have it done by the 24th... we'll see. I really wanna do this htough. Not many people do it, I'll defintely stand out, and it'll raise my resale value

Car is looking good man! Sucks about the torque mount issues, but good that you finally did it. You like the added vibrations? Next step, get some upgraded engine mounts for that thing!

I am liking the CF trunk more and more. Good work! Is it me, or does your front lip "sag" on the sides? It looks like my rear lip. LOL

1. Why would you want to do this?

Less engine movement when taking off from a dig/shifting = smoother/etc. Also, you won't have to worry about the mounts having to be replaced for a loooong time as they would now be solid polyurethane.
This.

I love the trunk, it was an amazing find and deal. My girlfriend says it's dumb because it doesn't match. Silly girls, just wait til I get a hood lol

haha my ex used to give me so much crap about my hood when I had my hatch. I got to the point that I just ignored her every time she said something. Anything I would say to defend the cf hood was pointless.

You used to live here?

Just left my friends house, just got finished with his gsr in his coupe, and on my way home, my lip somehow fell off and I ran over it. Sweet, so stopped and threw it in the car. POS is so torn up, I need a new one...
