My engine will be fine, it is the turbo system that's gonna be screwed when it has so many miles put on it. Even if you aren't in boost all the time you still have hot oil going through your turbo which will wear out seals and such.

And I kinda want to do something different. Everyone around here has gsr's and half of em just boost em, and most other people are running turbo d's or b16s. Not too many people have h22 civics around hee. And it'd be more of a challenge of a swap too, not just a direct drop in.

It does take some work....and probably fabricating.

But it is quite fun to drive an H22 civic

I've driven one. It was a 95 coupe, and it was QUICK! It would have been my first Honda if the parents didn't say no

Oh well, probably a good thing. I look at it like this. If you can't put it in yourself, how are you going to be able to take good of it?

I don't really trust other people either. Obviously if they swap they beat the sh*t out of it. I don't believe anyone with a Civic that has even minor i/h/e and say they haven't beat on it. I looked at a 00 si once, this like 25 y/o kid is telling me he lost his license, but it is unrelated to racing. And his friends are at his house, one has a gsx, and there was like jetta or something, and they are yelling across the street to a guy "when we gonna race?". That ended that lol, that was the saddest b16 I've driven or been in. That thing was slow as hell, the engine was raped.

But I always say that if I swap, I'm not going to just drop it in. No matter what I get I'm no matter what pulling it apart, refresh the bottom end with a nice hone, bearings, and rings. It'd suck to drop a motor in someone says is nice and find out it is burning oil when you start it up. I'd also give the head a little refresh, hot tank everything, new valve seals. Last thing I want is to put a motor in and have to take it back out or apart haha.

I knew someone that bought an eg hatch with an h22 in it. On his way home he had one of my friends with him, an old lady pulled out in front of him, long story short front end was destroyed. And my friend in the passenger seat had to get stiches on his *** because he was sitting on a screwdriver that stabbed him lol.

You want a challenge when it comes to a swap eh?
i have an idear, save up for a k20! talk about sick as hell. id love to have a n/a or boosted k20a3 in my hatch lol maybe another project wayyy longer down the road ha

but i for sure never see any h22's around me...a hell of a lot of ricers with y8's running around like theyre b.a. when theyre not (stock y8's with 5 speed's, lowered on 17" no name rims w/ a 400 dollar body kit). Now GSR and B18 swaps are actually prety rare around here. and k20's in anything is practically non existent unless you go down town or the north S.A. area. B16's are in everything though and its sickening ugh!
