Alright the guy whos old me the motor is giving me a killer offer. Monday I'm going to picking up the following:

fidanza flywheel
act clutch
usdm h22 trans non lsd perfect
h23 bottom end (rod knock)
complete intake mani
throttle body
injectors
shifter cables
shifter
stock motor mounts
stock complete a4 head
obd2 wiring harness
brand spankin new axles
stock headers
alternators
starters
power steering pump
brackets
timing belts

All that for $450. He's getting rid of all his h stuff since he want an s2k, and not a lot of people around here have a lot of interest in h so came down in his price a lot. So my plan is to sell the a4 head (taken apart) and the h23 bottom and sell them. I can probably get $150-$200 for the head on either ht or craigs. I'll sell the bottom enbd for like $100. I'm going to take the manual tensioner off it first. The axles he says are H22 to eg and new, so I'll sell those. And then I'll try selling the other random stuff like the ps pump, motor mounts, etc. I figure I can get at least $250 back. So $250 for almost everything I still need is awesome. All I'll need is to get everything tanked and honed, motor mounts, ARP headstuds and maybe rod bolts, distributor, obd2 oil pump, and ecu.

After pulling the jdm bottom and looking at the bearings and stuff I decided I'm going to reuse them. The bottom end is so clean, it has to be under 40k miles, so I'm going to reuse everything. I'm not worried about it.

Looked at all that stuff and didn't buy it. The a4 head's rockers were scored and the cams were shot. Everything he had just seemed kinda sketchy. And I'm questioning if I want to continue with the swap. I'm starting to reconsider my priorities. So I might sell the jdm bottom and p&p built head. I have the money that I could follow through with this, I just don't think the timing is right. I feel like I should be investing my money in tools and stuff for my career and the build/swap should wait til maybe next year or after I graduate. Also with emissions this would suck. I'd have to swap obd1/2 distributors and injecters to pass, and pay $250 for the only obd2 ecu that'd work, and hope the stock ecu would run the stage 2 cams. So at this point I'm thinking I may sell it. The bottom end is down to a bare block. And I need to figure out how I'm going to put the valves and springs back in.

K well I'm a woman when it comes to deciding on what I do. I am going to sell my H. It's sad, but I think it is the right thing to do. Couple of reasons:

1. Be a b**** trying to pass emissions
2. Expensive as hell
3. Car is dd in spring/summer, don't really need an ALL top end power built engine for dd'ing
4. I will owe Snap On and Matco like $4k, my grandma is borrowing me the money, so paying her back is a priority
5. I figure I should wait to do a big build til after I'm done with school
6. Making money selling this

Soooo now I've figured a different plan. Here's my NEW plan. (Parents bought me a crv to drive to school since it is 30 miles each way and in rural area, so my Civic will be parked for winter, yay)
1. Overhaul my suspension again
-Blox lca bushings are raped, going to get Skunk2 or Function 7 replacement arms
-Rear disc swap
-Beaks lower tie bar
-Press in the Energy Suspension master kit for my car, refresh the whole suspension system pretty much
2. Fix up my motor/trans
-Timing belt/water pump
-New clutch and flywheel
-New pilot bearing and throw out bearing (one of em is making a lot of noise, I think it is pilot, only does it when the clutch is out and in neutral)
-Figure out what is causing my axle seal to leak and attempt to fix it for the 5th (literaly) time lol
-Any other maintenance stuff, not planning on opening it up and rebuilding
3. Appearence st00f
-FINALY get everything painted
~Front bumper
~Rear bumper
~Side skirts
~Front lip
~MAYBE some knock off Spoon mirrors
~Si spoiler
-Engine harness tuck assuming I pull the motor, which I want to
-Hopefully still go through with shaving the bay

The futureish plans
-Low offset wheels in spring, something old school, hellaflush ftw
-Thinking about just boosting the d if I come across some cash over winter. Isn't expensive and will give me a nice "boost" in power lol, and will shut up the **** talkers in my Honda/Chrysler program at school haha.

So sorry to say but the h22 project is going to end. I just think I need to be more responsible and set my priorities. I'm 18 and going through school, I don't need to have a fully built car yet. Get my career established and bills paid for before I start getting in to money pits. So for now the plan (that will HOPEFULLY go through) is for a mostly all show and nogo reliable car, and maybe slap some boost in to it. We will see. Car will be parked within a few weeks. So don't give up on me and my project lol!

I'm at 99,960 miles on it today

You should totally get some eagle forged h-beams vitara pistons, acl engine bearings, new pistons rings and build your bottom end while its sitting, o and new seals/gaskets! Then slap a turbo on there and DD it on like 15 pounds! lol. 99,960 miles aint bad dude, my car is getting close to 240k and still running strong as hell. But good luck with what you do! ill be waitin for updatessss

That would be your throw out bearing that is making the noise. Any clutch kit you buy should come with both bearings though.

AH coolio, and I know 99k isn't bad. But watchin that 6th digit turn over is going to be haha. And 400 whp boosted h22 dd, I'm diggin it haha. If I were to boost my d I'd just leave it stock and just got for around 190-200 hp.

Hmm going to order a Beaks lower tie bar this week I think. Torn between getting a gold one to match my control arms and stuff (my new control arms will be gold whenever I get em) or candy green. The candy green tie bar looks sooooo good, but idk how well it'll look with all the gold under there. Opinions?

Personally I don't like with tie bars match control arms but its all up to you. I have seen a new polished beaks bar for like $10 more than normal online if you like somethin like that.
