Was bored of not doing anything on my car so I pilled my head. I haven't pulled the motor yet since the B16 is sitting on the stand.

But I took off the head, still don't really know where my oil leak I had was coming from. Not sure if it was the headgasket weeping a little or the vtec solenoid. But I got the head off and inspecting my cylinder walls it will need to be bored for sure. Cyl 2, 3, and 4 are perfect. Can still see the cross hatch on all the walls. But Cyl 1 has a deep scratch down the length of the wall. What's odd is that it is perfectly straight, literaly perfect, and deep enough to catch my nail. The Rc auto/vitara combo comes 75.5 so I needed to bore it anyway. But I was suprised to find this scratch. I wish I would've leak down tested my motor before I do this, I think I killed my rings. Was burning a little oil up top, my oil level was actually barely ont he dipstick at one point. But I beat the **** out of my car so it was expected.

Now that the heads off I'm going to start doing some port work on it. My plans for the exhaust side is to open it up a little bit but not much, but clean up all the casting marks, and polish it. My exhaust ports are going to be fricken mirrors when I'm done. As for the intake side, I think I'm going to open that up to the gasket size, need to order a thermal one. Also going to do a little knife edging on the ports too.

Contemplating on doing valve springs right now since I have the whole rocker assembly off and can easily do it since the heads off...

Also going to be ordering 20 ft of stainless steel 3/16th brake line for my brake line tuck. Need to buy me a 40/40 non abs prop valve too.

really jealous of the rear diffuser. I've seen essentially the same thing done on hatches before, and it always looks amazing. Interested to see it on your whip.

I bring pictures!

I got the exhaust ports where I want them today with my 60 grit cartridge wheel. Next step is to pull the valve springs and valves and smooth out that area, then I need to order the polisher thing. I don't know what its real name is but I know what it is, its like a yellow pad thing you put in die grinders/dremels.

Picked up the rear diffuser from my friend today. Like I had previously said it is a Shine diffuser meant for an s2k. He cut it and fit it on his hatch, previous owner before him had their s2k SLAMMED so it is pretty rough. But I expect to f it up even more since I'm slammed and don't plan on raising it. I will be fixing some cracks and stuff. As some may know I know how to carbon fiber, so I will be patching some spots, building up some spots as reinforcements, and filling in areas. Overall the diffuser looks pretty damn sick. Main obstacle was going to be my muffler since the Evo2 is huge, it did end up being aproblem but workable. When the diffuser is mounted tight against the bumper the diffuser is right up against the muffler, but since the diffuser isn't too think of fiberglass and carbon fber it flexes the bit necessary to fit. I need to redrill the mounting holes since he had it on a hatch bumper, a real ctr bumper actually. Took it in the basement today to begin repairs and fitting tomorrow. Got it for $140 btw.

Pics are kinda bad since its late and the lighting is poor at the back of the garage. It is only held in the general area by stacking stuff under it.

The exhaust side edge/corner will be FLUSH with the bumper, you can see a few holes on the diffuser, that will be against the bumper itself.

Massive cut out for the tow hook lol

And my lovely exhaust ports

Happy thanksgiving (still 11:43 pm here), got some work done on the diffuser. Got it mounted to my bumper. I only need to add 2 more spots to bolt it in, might tru and fasten it to the underbody of the car further back so it's flushish, tight, and won't rattle. A few of the spots were worn down to the fiberglass and more, so I patched those spots with just a piece of carbon fiber. Isn't super pretty but isn't seen and is something that will scrape away instead of making a hole. Filled in a few cracks with the epoxy resin, looks a lot better. Once the resin is solidified tomorrow I well wet sand it smooth and reclear the areas I fixed. This diffuser was pretty beat up but with my fixes and the way its supported on the bumper it should hold up for a while, so long as I dont wreck it on driveways. Basicaly once this is on I can safetly go 200 mph+, because race car.

Also ordering me some Downstar Bolt Boys trans kit atm. Replaces all engine to trans bolts and trans the trans case bolts with allen heads. I think they look really clean, and 25% black friday sale ftw! Was going to order the whole engine kit but I'm going to just use new bolts instead. Now if only RC would have a sale so I can get my pistons and rods discounted...

I've got moar pictures!

Here's it mounted on the bumper.

How it'll look from behind.

One of my patches.

Midway of work.

Sure the coupe bumper is longer so I might be able to use my cf skills to put it back together. Maybe I'll swing by this weekend. And now you know my plans for my motor now lol, nobody around here knows o.O

Sold the supercharger today. Sold it for 800, not bad profit of 100somethin.

Bought a rear disc setup off a teggy, only cost me $50. Calipers are good I just need to drop new bushings in the trailing arm from my master set. And I need to find rsx caliper brackets.

Also starting to piece the pieces together for an all motor mini me single cam for my friends ef. Going from auto to manual, obd0 to obd1, and doing a full tuck in the mean time. Should be pretty quick when we are done. A6 bottom end, stock a6 trans with a stage 1 cluth haven't looked to see what kind yet, just got a z6 head for it which will be ported by me, and looking for a skunk2 manifold. Be about 10.5:1 compression, be pretty quick in an ef.
