Scott's Ek Build: Shaved and Tucked
Yea, the bracket bolts to the motor, and the alternator uses that. I think there are two separate brackets that hold the alternator on. The idler pulley replaces the one closest to the from rail with the pulleys facing the frame rail.
Hmm well I havent updated this in a while because I haven't done anything lol. I parked my car for the winter a few weeks ago and it's in the garage now.
As you all have figured out I change plans like crazy. So suprise suprise, plans have changed. I put the jrsc on Craigslist, I was getting a lot of **** talking about my car from the **** in my area who dislike me, they all talked mad **** to everyone about how slow my car is going to still be. So my new plan is a secret to anyone locally except my friends. I'm now going to do a vitara build using rc autoworks rods. Everyone thinks my single cam sucks *** so I'm going to prove their asses wrong and walk them all. Going sleeper style with a black front mount and going to go for a minimum of 300 on high boost. Lik I said everyone still thinks I'm going to use the jrsc so they'll have a nice suprise.
Once the b16 is sold I'll put the d16 on the stand, tear it down and send it off to my dads friend with a machine shop and have it bored to 75.5. The rc vitara setup is only $400, rated at 500 hp, teflon coat the vitaras, arp rod bolts, and the rods are longer. I was going to do vitaras on eagles but that's kill my compression to 7.5:1, but with the I beams I'll be at 9:1, perfect.
I can't wait for next year to show some kids up. The phrase that people always say that's along the lines of haters are my motivation is all too true. Main **** talker has a jdm b16 in an ek hatch, long story short he's going to get a suprise next year when he doest hear supercharged whine.

I bet you plan on making money off that JRSC, right? I sold mine with the RC440s and the 60mm LS TB for $950. It took about a month before someone local had the money. LOL He came over, glanced at it for about 30 seconds and handed the money to me. Quickest $950 I have ever made.

Hope the turbo works out for you. What do you plan on tuning with? 300hp on stock D sleeves could be considered pushing it, so make sure that tune is spot on!

I hope to get 8-900 for the jrsc, technically paid around 700. As for the main **** talker he hates me because my friend and I make money selling NoBigDeal stickers that we make and because of my car and other reasons I don't know. He's pretty popular with the Honda people around here so everything comes back to me that he says. I'm pretty known in my area. Most people know me or my car and I have a good reputation for my work but I don't really hang out with the Honda people around here. One of the guys I work with is one of the really popular Honda people and he only hangs out with the other popular Honda people and stuff, but I have a hard time getting along with a lot of them. I'll go to shows and I'll go cruising but a lot of people have a problem with me and I don't like half of em lol. So the guy with the. B16a and his little "crew" hate me and talk mad ****. Their fastest car is a kid who has an ek could that looks extremely similar to mine, same color too, with a turbo jdm gsr. What's funny is he's had the motor in the car for a year, and before he even turboed it he already roasted the rings. Put a complete eBay kit on and the second it sees any boost it's smoking.
As for my power goals I'm not worried about 300. There's vitara builds at 400+ all day and speedfactory has one at almost or at 600 hp. 300 is nothing for the stock sleeves. I've been looking for like an aem ems or s300 on ht/Craig's. Either way idc just depends on where I take it for tuning from what program. If I get s300 I might take it to king motorsports but they aren't that great, so idk.
And by me there's so pretty insane cars. One of my friends has an insane ek hatch, crazy money in to it. Real bys front bumper, 5 lug, jdm recaros, Takata harness, ctr exterior stuff, k24/k20 completely 100% built, like 12.5:1 with stage 3 cams, that car is insane. I've been trying to talk him in to selling me his rear diffuser. He bought a shine diffuser off an s2k and cut it to fit an ek, could get it for like 150 so I'm trying!

I really want to follow through with this build. I change my mind too much, and I see everything as profit, not what I can do with it. I turn profit on nearly everything I buy and resell, the ls trans was the only thing I lost money on. Otherwise everything from my carbon fiber trunk to my h22, I always make money. So every time I buy something I want to use it on my car at first but then my mind turns it to see the money I can make. And it pisses me off cause I have all this money sitting in the bank that I have a really hard time spending on my car suprisingly lol. Yes saving is good I know that but spending is too. But like I said I really want to follow through with this build. I've had my car for 2 years now and have done nothing major speed wise, and I think it's time to finally step up.

And we have this design in different colors too, it is the black part that is colored and the rest is cut out, not cheaply made stickers. These are like $2 or $3 shipped, can't remember, let me know if you guys want some. I'll have to check up on colors.

I hear you about the money making thing. If I can make double what I spent, I will buy it only to flip, unless it is something I really need/wanted for my car. I can always sell it later once I am done with providing that my car doesn't get stolen, or the parts do not get damaged.
I picked up the twinloop only to flip it since I bought it for $100 and sold it for $500. Something like the CTR steering column light set-up I bought for $150 and I know I should be able to get like $300 for it whenever I am done with it as long as it doesnt get damaged.
Don't think of it as spending your money most of the time... think of it as an investment which you can cash out when you are ready. I am sure I can sell everything little thing on my car and walk away with like $6k in my pocket. Keep all OEM parts for this reason. Making $10-15 here and there off OEM parts which were replaced doesnt make sense when you can think of reinstalling those parts later and sell the upgraded parts faster (faster than OEM parts probably) and for more money. I am sure you know that already though
Remind me after the holidays about the stickers. I am seriously strapped for cash right now and cannot afford a penny to spare unfortunately. Gotta prep and save my moneyz for the holidays in order to make it special for the little one!
