Talking

They're saying the OEM upper ball joint miiiight be welded in.
Sorry there hasn't been updates, weather has been like poop lately.
I've been trying to track down a front motor mount for my car. Partsource can order them, but I'm not sure which one I need. They list 2 different ones, made by Anchor.
I did end up doing the 90-91 corner light conversion... Looks a little cleaner. I have nearly all my parts now, with exception of the last inner CV boot and a wheel cylinder... and of course that pesky motor mount.
If anyone wants to look into this mount thing for me, please do! =)
Partsource.ca
Part numbers 8411 and 8431
I don't know what to make of it...

Someone changed my thread title? =(
Should have at least kept it "EF'n rights (zerojett's build)"

Well, the D15b2 is toast I think. Whenever I hit 6k-redline, it smokes like a train for a while... Bad head gasket?

In this situation, it isn't worth me rebuilding the motor... So I'm in the process of stripping out a Y8 from an Acura 1.6EL. Apparently this motor is obd2, which I wasn't aware of until today. As far as making it OBD1, for convenience sake, I would just need a Y7 dizzy and the jumper harnesses correct? Which ECU is ideal for this? I'm doing some searching while I'm typing this. The ECU in the car is P2P.
If I wanted to use the OBD2 dizzy, would I just have to repin the plugs?

Motor mount situation: Ordered one online, an OEM mount for $50. Pretty good deal I think.

I know everyone likes pictures...

Tomorrow morning I'll be pulling out the Y8. Also got 25T caliper brackets, and calipers, for the 10.5 brake upgrade.

They use salt come winter time in your neck of the woods? 4th Gens in New England got eaten alive because of it. Those look SUPER nice for wintered cars. Good luck with it all.

The CRX is wintered, not sure about the Civic. I have yet to put plates on it. Thanks though!

The Y8 is missing a few sensors that I have yet to track down, but I picked up a P28 ecu and a b7 dizzy for it.

installed Si carpet... Pics coming soon.

I've hit a snag with some rust... I want to fix it before I move on at all... It depresses me a lot, so I am ordering panels from fixmyrust.com because I've heard good things, and they're reasonably priced. I am really depressed about the body filler cracking off, and seeing rust underneath.

On the engine, a Y7 is obd-2 also, you'll want Z6 parts for obd-1 and for obd-0 which the car currently is you'll need D16A6, not sure how compatible A6 parts are with the other though....

Well, with the frost of winter finally lifting... Work can be resumed...
The cold was over-powering my gas heater!!!
And I've broken my camera, so this will be my only update until I buy a new camera (and actually use it when I'm in the garage...)

The Civic was pulled into the garage, put up on jack stands
Rear drums and pads are replaced
Rear trailing arm bushings replaced (That was fun!...)
New tie-rod ends
Rebuilding hinges for the doors... (They don't sell rebuild kits, so you have to rig up your own method. I'm going to try newer Civic hinges to verify if they work or not)
90-91 gauge swap complete, with 90-91 dimmer and rear defog
Ash tray light and cigarette lighter illumination wired up
Interior is together, sound installed

Finally bought some more parts
OBD0-OBD1 jumper
OBD1 Dizzy
OBD0 dpfi harness (not swapping the motor until after the safety, this will make it drop in with minimal down time)

And I sold my CRX. $800 some spare parts. The guy blew the motor a week later... some kid, liked the exhaust, and bagged it. Hurt me to know he killed the CRX.

At the moment, trying to figure out what I'm doing for a clutch on the Y8. I have a spare 89 Si transmission that I'm going to use, should be a fun car to drive.

Decided against boost for now.
OEM upgrades... Z6 head, DOHC ZC pistons (already have), and I've heard LS rods can be used?

Pictures coming in the next couple weeks... it is starting to look good...

didn't notice that is broken. got a b18b1 throttle body to replace it. am i better off just using the whole throttle body instead of just taking the map sensor and tps?
