Default AEM whistling???

Theres unlimited answers to this question online so i wanted to ask here. I put an AEM SRI on my 97 lx, and its making a loud whistling whenever im stepping on the acc. at a certain point. The intake is on good, is this just somthing you have to deal with?

That's the sound of the intake yo!!!!!!! J/k, what you are describing seems perfectly normal. I have always heard a whistling noise coming from the intake area once I installed one.

Yup, completely normal. SRIs don't have a silencer like stock airboxes do, so you tend to hear the intake a lot more over stock. A CAI will be slightly quieter in the cabin due to the filter being a little further away from the cabin, but any intake without a silencer box will make a whistling noise, especially under acceleration.
