you would need an O2 extension harness to be able to test the O2 sensor on your car. There might be another way to do it with a multimeter but I'm not sure.

there is no way of knowing if the o2 sensors are good until you install them and run car if the cel comes on for them then they are bad..
if yours are good then tell him he can keep the o2 you already have some ans you will give him 50$ cash. the scrape yards buy cats for 30$

well when my car was ran with a diagnostic test, it read the Cat was broken, it had nothing to do with teh o2 sensors tho right?
and all i'd need is those 02sensor exstensions?

he's asking $85, i'll see the condidition lower 15bucks, then tell him idon't need the 02sensors (don't need if mine are good?) and drop another 20bucks

yes, if you cut it and weld the flange back on it will work.

The length you need to remove is 16 1/4"
If i knew that measurement when I did mine it would have been easier. Well maybe not since header ended up being longer then stock manifold. As for JayVee acquire all tools and parts before you begin.

Okay, so i purchased this catalytic converter guys for 70$. drove a hard bargain. Anyways checked inside honeycombs were clean no rattle on the inside, now i need to purchase flanges for the cat. Now a few questions.

1)Does the DC Header have a flange at its end for where the cat goes to?
2)The cat had welds done to it, is it defective? (welds were done i think to weld the exhaust to & for the flange)

( i'll see if i can get some pics up later guys, bad quality cell phone ones tho =/ )

I am assuming it isn't a stock cat. since you are stating it has welds and needs flanges? I don't think you will be able to tell if it's defective or not until you get it installed and see what happens with the CEL.

Yes, the DC header you have should have an end to it where you would put bolts through in order to attach the cat. (that's basically what a flange is)

Oh and my buddy is going to weld a flange to the exhaust to bolt to the cat. Man, things are shaping up.!

Alright guys, time to throw this thread back into action.
Just curious to know if my exhaust manifold even needs the heat shield? and also it came without any screws/nuts/bolts/etc. does my DX one have all the parts needed for the EX one?
