Manuals have better gear ratios so they hit top speeds faster, and allow you to controll the car much more. Auto trannys also have around a 30% drivetrain power loss, whereas manuals only have about 15%. In lamens terms, Manual Trannys put more WHP down. (in this case)

your auto prolly has a rev limiter that cuts your motor out, most manuals dont run rev limiters, but as for running an auto, im sure somebody makes a shift kit out there. i mean its a civic for gods sake, they make everything for em.

i have the injen CAI, so i got the whole I/H/E going, but just check mysle fbefore i start my project.....
