cat or no cat
and sounds like we should all just go out of our way to help him out if he needs any help with his car, since he has no problem taking time off of others lives, as little as it may be. thats just a great outlook on life.
to tell you the truth, i've been in college for automotive now for over 2 years and i can tell you by what i've studied, that removing the cat causes less damage to the ozone than what everyone thinks, most of the ozone damage comes from chemical plants that produces things like glue. the only reason they get onto the automotive group for the ozone damage is b/c it's easier to change than the chemical plants. and, by the way, if any of you smoke; you might as well just put your mouth up to the muffler and inhale, it's just as damaging to your lungs, so if that's the case and we put regulations on our cars then why dont we have regulations on releasing cigarette smoke into the air?
they are outlawing cigarettes in more places all the time. leading to the inevitable outlawing of them altogether. but that will be many many many years down the road. and how many cigarettes does it take to produce the chemical byproducts as one 1.6l civic without a cat idling in traffic for an hour? id guess it is quite a few. and its not only the ozone, but I had asthma growing up, and I can tell you that it sucks. my nephew has attacks and has to be put on a breathing machine. and byproducts of polluting cars are one of the major causes of asthma in children (and adults). so seeing him struggling to breath through a tube that is pumping medicine into his lungs to keep them from closing up is enough for me to not mind losing that 2 hp on my car.

according to the study in the above link there are 4 main factors in ozone depletion.
carbon monoxide (car exhaust, people breathing, etc), #2 is methane (cow farts being top of the list), #3 is nos (yep, but i doubt they are talking about from injecting it into your motor) and #4 is cloroflourocarbons (air conditioning). so chew on that.
also my high flow cat, as i mentioned in a previous post is completely hollow. it looks basically like the inside of my muffler. what possible good can it be serving?

yep. but at least you got SOMETHING. ive seen so many scammers on there. watch the feedback, and if it sounds too good to be true, it just might be. oh, and if they only take check or money order, run.
thanks for the tip about checks and money orders. i didnt know that, but i only use paypal anyway cause its easier and i'm too lazy to buy money orders or write checks and mail them. also i was watching the feedback and i never bought from anyone who had less than 97%. but you win some you lose some.
