Cheap sound?

RE: Cheap sound?
make sure the exhaust you are getting is for an lx. if you get an ex exhuast, you will have to change header and cat because the catatlytic converter is located differently on an ex than an lx. that should save you some money. i'd go with flowmaster.

hey Travis, i was kind of looking at cheaper mufflers as well, and i would say that the magna flow exhaust would be a decent choice, at the very least it will be cheaper, i may get that muffler as well, I too donot want to mess with welding brackets and stuff right now!

By the way, I like your positive take on being called a ricer, it is true, my buddy had a souped wrx sti, and it had no body kits or huge wing, and people still called it a ricer, even though it put out about 360hp!

YEa, just remember its your first exhaust, and u just want it to sound louder, mabey with some performance, u can always upgrade later when your budget permits. I think i will go with an magnaflow direct fit or flowmaster direct fit axelback for know.

RE: Cheap sound?
I have an 04 lx and not until I find out what went wrong, I will never put my short ram back on. It went bonkers on me and no one could explain why! I would drive in normal puddles and ruts on the freeway and literally the whole care would shake and lose power. Nothing is more stressful than having to be on the freeway in the rain expecting the car to die.
If I was going downhill I would just push on the clutch and it wouldnt shake anymore but if it was uphill I had to keep the RPMs waaaay high or the car would sputter. I would be going like 50 in 2nd gear and the RPMs would be in the red. I LOVED it in dry weather but couldnt find out why it sucked in the rain... snow wasn't a problem at all, though.
