civic vp header crap
hey what would you guys recommend for headers/exhaust on an 05 vp? I live in arizona, but have to keep it legal cause someday im going back to CA. I know my cat is inside my header, which looks like a freakin toy, but anyway, i need to keep my cat, and do legal stuff, i don't want to have to swap for smog.

RE: civic vp header crap
look on ebay or something (i did some research for you and found many) for some headers that will fit your engine but have the catalytic convertor that bolts onto the end of the downpipe. (i think its the one for the ex) smog tests aren't really every day though... i would just get some headers w/o a cat and swap them out every time - it takes at most and hour.
of course... i also live in kentucky where we don't test so who am i to tell you that swapping is easy to do all the time?
oh yeah, for the ebay thing, go to ebay motors, parts and access, exhaust, then go to exhaust headers, then type in civic 05

Vp's (DX have the cat built in. You will lose the cat once you get a new header. Problem is, no one makes em for us. Ive got a Vp too. You are going to have to put in an aftermarket cat where the test pipe goes.

actually megan has a header that just replaces the manifold. bolts to the head and the cat. rahter nice unit. that is when i saw the d17 exh ports.......eeeew those things are tiny. side note, they did away with our emission in my county here in NC.
