dude. what the f is the point of this thread. obviously people know that aftermarket intake manifolds exist for that year of civic. as far as I know, they exist for ALL years of civic.
ok, I'm not harshing you at all. if you made it, great! put it on a car and dyno it! let us know how well it worked.

I drive a 97 EX, and yes, it has an intake on it. My Dad's 2005 EX has an intake on it as well. Otherwise, I don't have any need or use for a '00 model intake.
Specifically, you would be referring to the "intake manifold" which is what was originally pictured here in your thread. The actual air intake on most cars is indeed made out of plastic. The intake manifold (into which the air intake routes air) is made out of metal.
