Default D17 Intake Manifold

OK I've searched Google many times, even Ebay, I cannot find for the life of me anyone who makes an intake manifold for the D17 motors. At this time I'm assuming they don't exist, but thought I'd ask you and see if you can find one. Not concerned about name brands just looking for something quality that ISN'T plastic.

Thanks

Unfortunately, there is only one brand for the D17, and it hasn't had a whole lot of positive reviews. It is the KMS Manifold. I don't know anyone that has had it before, so I can't give you any first hand reviews. I wish there were more parts like this out there for the D17, but for some reason, a lot of companies didn't see any demand for them. Hopefully that will change soon [:'(]

Find/build you a set of individual throttle bodies.

What's the word on the KMS, Sam?

Yeah if you have any other information on KMS I'd love to know, I'm looking at their forged pistons and valvetrain upgrade.

And Street, can you clarify that a lil more, I'm not really sure exactly what you are saying.

Individual throttel bodies, like on a motorcycle. Each cylinder has it's own throttle body instead of sharing a plenum (intake manifold). What most people do is buy a motorcycle's rack and modify it to their head. I have read that some models bolt right up.
They are good for about 500 Hp... j/k, but they are a serious upgrade and just plain rad.

That would end up being a lot of modification, I'd have to get something that could hook up to my V2, and I am going to put nitrous system in eventually. Although I agree that it's not a bad idea, its just a lil much for me at this point in time anyway.

A Y8 manifold will work, with some modification. You won't be able to use the same intake though, as the throttle body will be relocated.

True! I know there are a number of people that have modded the Y8 Manifold to fit. As for KMS, I don't know a whole lot about their company or their manufacturing methods, so I can't say if they are quality or not.
