But again a shirt is a shirt and an intake is an intake it just depends on how much your willing to pay for the "better" quality Lol. sorry for the bad metaphore I hope it gets my point accross. :-)
Not only is there quality difference, but there is also a HP difference. E-bay SRI's have been known to not only not work or break down quickly, but to sometimes reduce your horsepower. There's an article about it in importtuner.com.

Yeah you will not notice much but i'd still say its a simple mod worth doing. you can get a bit better gas mileage if you drive reasonably, it adds slightly to performance, and it sounds pretty sweet lol.

The only power difference I can say is "noticeable" with my SRI is that it holds speed slightly better going up hill on the highway now in 5th gear. I drive up/down the highway everyday to/from my house and before if I wasn't doing at least 70 (even flooring it) in 5th uphill I would slowly start to lose speed until I was at like 55 by the time it turned flat again then I could pick back up to 70. Now if i'm doin 65 and keep the gas almost floored I can maintain my speed (provided it's just me or me and one light person in the car), if I'm doin 70 by the time I get to the uphill part I can actually slowly accelerate uphill in 5th. Civic overdrive is definitely made for economy lol, especially the DX

ya only reason for brand name is fitment and quality...

for instance the ebay intake..... DONT USE ENGINE CLEANER AROUND IT.LOL it will cloud the chrome and look like crap. ive done it, plus brand name typicaly uses a good quality filter which keeps your motor cleaner and running better!
hell my ebay filter fell apart and so did my friends intake filter. hell they are just like steel mesh glued together.... total crap!

Yah i bought an Ebay brand CAI, and i never even considered using the filter! I took one look at it and said " I'm not using this **** filter on my car ". I just went to the local parts store and bought the same size K&N and slapped it on. Works like a charm now.

Aright guys,
I installed the intake after taking 3 weeks to get it delivered from prostreet.com

The installation went fine but I do have a question.

I did notice that the intake vibrates, not a considerable amount but it does move alittle. Is this normal or should i fasten the intake to the car in a better way than the tiny peice of metal the the Injen kit came with.

thank you for your help.

Corey

well the intake will move alittle..... the motor does move alittle as well so it just moves with it. as long as it does have abrace on it and its not rattling then its probably ok.
