ebay CAI
I know the name brands give the best gains like the injen's and the AEM's but they also cost like 300 bucks where as the ebay versons like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOMZ-...78575157QQrdZ1 cost like 50 bucks. so my question is are the more expensive ones realy six times better would it be a total waste of 50 bucks to get the ebay one?

RE: ebay CAI
I used to have one of those cheapo ebay intake units..... I switched mine out for a Simota intake and I'm glad I spent the money. My ebay unit did not have the welded on bracket as well as the piping wasn't as well formed. Also the breather port on the side of the intake sat right agenst my strut brace (along with the intake a bit further to the passenger side) which cause rattling and distruction of hoses.
Talk to westimports, he's got THIS post showing prices as well as installs. Either way you go about it I'd say go brand name or at the most any one that has the mounting bracket welded onto the tube..... the fit and finish will be lots better, I'm happy I replaced mine and I've yet to have a rattle or "thud" since.

If you want, just buy the intake off ebay and then switch to a different filter. Figure ebay intake kit $50 + Good filter $50 = $100. Which still saves you over $100 and it's basically the same.
