Default filters?

ive posted 2-3 times already in regards to 2 tiny filters that ive seen in some pics. one was coming out of the the valve cover and the other was coming out of the side of the air intake. what are these for? pros/cons? thanks!

im 99% sure that thats just where there used to be a hose going from intake to vc. they ditched the hose for aesthetics and put in place those little filters idk if it has any pros cons or wat

Yah it's hondatech, but i was curious too. Everything I've read about it points to no good.

yup those are breather filters you are talking about. you can get them for about $10. not sure about the pro and cons. probably just for looks more than helping with performance

well mostly those valve cover filters are for boosted motors where you cannt hook it up like stock for obvious reasons of boost
alot of people just slap them on because they think it looks cool... but IMO if your motor is N/A then it should be hooked up just like stock... thats the way the vehicle was designed!

Marcus, are you trying to tell me valvetrains don't like boost?

On a N/A engine, they're basically for looks, and to clean up the engine bay... I had one on my old civic, but it was just to help keep the bay clean.
