Help Needed! 06' Ex intake-exhaust
Ok Ladies and Gents- here's the deal. I know that everyone has a different idea on which is the best intake and exhaust- there's no clear cut right or wrong answer. Here's my situation:
For an upcomming V-day my sweetheart of a man has offered to buy me an intake and exhaust for my new 06' civic EX. This car is completely stock and I only want the best, but problem is the best is subjective. If price was absolutely a non-issue, what would ya'll suggest me looking into?
Thanks so much!

For the highest quality, may I recommend what I bought?
AEM V2 intake: This includes a "Dryflow" air filter that is what I consider one of the best out there. Some V2 systems like mine position the filter in or very close to outside cold air, and others position the filter in the engine bay, but in an area that is cooler than any other. I bought my system through the Tirerack. Installation may take a few hours and if the filter is positioned down low, one front tire/wheel will need to be removed to gain access. The engine-bay mounted versions are a bit easier to install and to remove the filter, but inherently produce a bit less horsepower.
Magnaflow Exhaust: Very deep tone - not high-pitched or irritating in any way. This is an all-stainless steel, fully polished system that will last forever. The ONLY downside is that under certain high-load, low RPM conditions, a resonant boom can be heard, but this occurs only under certain, mostly brief conditions. I found my system on Ebay.

how far does intake and exhaust go? because if i were you i would hit him up for the aem v2 then get a skunk2 intake manifold and the magnaflow exhaust but get a header and high-flow cat to go along with it
Concept: Thanks for your input- the more horsepower the better. I may not know a whole lot about cars but I know that horses are good lol I'll def. look into the AEM it seems like a good product- and I live on ebay.
Kan: lol I'm sure if i begged enough I could get all those things in time- but Right now i'm only pushing for the intake and exhuast- It's not much to ask for considering I got him a 2008 CBR 1000 RR (lim.Ed.) for Christmas- can anyone say, "Best Girl Friend Ever?"
Mac: I've been reading a lot about the Injen products and have visited their site a few times- There's a guy on car domain who has my exact car and put Injen on his and he says he wouldn't trade it for the world. He did do a custom exhaust though, and i'm not sure how much that would have to do with the performance.
Ya'll have been such a help!! Thanks and keep posting!

trade in your 06 civic for and 07 si youll have some real horses without the bolt ons, but if you like your current civ then i recommend the Injen race division cold air intake it is actually better then the aem cai from what ive read in magazines. as fas as exhaust goes i would research the greddy tic exhaust that exhaust looks clean, just check out this site robearracing.com
