a high flow cat is not a resonator. and it will make your car a little louder than a stock one, but just pick a quieter exhaust. and like Leviii said, cars dont need backpressure. its harmful to engine performance. but still, dont gut the cat, the bigger diameter piping will hurt your power badly, due to loss of exhaust velocity. and running w/o a cat is illegal everywhere in the USA, its a federal law.
