If i got a high flow cat for an Apexi WS2 would it fit the exhaust?

 

Magnaflow High Flow Cats, the bolt on version, is a direct replacement. Which means it will fit as long as you buy the correct version. Same thing applies to a cat back exhaust.

I have magnaflow's high flow cat and the apexi ws2 exhaust, no problems experienced.

It's direct bolt-on replacement. Also, it's Magnaflow, so you can expect great quality and fitment. I have this (slightly different version though... mine doesn't have O2 sensor bung because my car is a 93 and only has 1 O2 sensor) and it's great.

 

almost forgot, get an O2 sensor removal socket. They're around $10-$15 at napa or autozone. And get some PB blaster or something to remove stuck bolts.

Remove all bolts from cat to catback exhaust and all bolts from header to cat. Then disconnect the O2 sensor plug from underneath the car(simply pull the plug from the underside of the car), and you can remove the cat with the o2 sensor attached.

spray around the part where it's bolted, give it time to settle, remove. This is also a good time to clean the sensor where it sits inside the cat. I reused all old bolts, nuts and springs to mount the new cat.

 

This leads me to another question: Does magnaflow make a good cat or should i get the megan racing one?
Also, whats the difference between a high flow cat and a test pipe?

 

megan racing's "high flow cat" is a test pipe
test pipes are hollow pipes and don't do anything but join the exhaust together.

reasons not to get a test pipe:
1. it is illegal
2. your exhaust tone will be raspy
3. you will throw a CEL (check engine light
4. you will not pass inspection or smog or anything

And if i get one should the width of the inlet and outlet be the same as my exhaust which i think is 2.25in?

 

i'm not sure about the inlet and outlet
i would imagine it's bigger than stock though since it's a high-flow cat

 

yeah you defintely dont want a cat thats smaller than your exhaust, your exhaust system is only as good as youre most restrictive part, so you'll definitely want to open it up.
