Default High Performance Cat Converter?

I'm thinking that I might be needing a new catalytic converter soon (lack of power going uphill and a rotten eggs/burning/heat smell under heavy throttle) and I was wondering about high performance catalytic converters. Are they any good? How different are they from OEM converters. With a AEM SRI and a Flowmaster 60 Series axleback exhaust, would my car's performance/MPG see a noticeable boost with a HP cat?

OEM and Aftermarket ones only have a 1hp different. Waste of money to just buy a highflow one unless your OEM one needs replacing.

What about the sound/MPG? I won't even think about replacing mine unless the CEL comes on. But I looked up an OEM cat on rockauto and it was $349 and I found a bunch of aftermarket HP/HF cats for under $200.

There are ways to get around the CEL too. I have a cracked manifold and im really thinking about going with a header and ditchin the cat.

I had to replace the cracked manifold in my Civic about a year and a half ago. Parts and labor ran me $632 and change
My CEL isn't on yet so I'm not too worried about it, I was just curious.
