The intake isn't "sucking" at all times. You can defend it you your death, but trust me, I was in an experiment stage just as you last year until I came up with currently. Tried the pipe directing air to avoid having a CAI, didn't help. Also, I have means of recording intake temperatures to note the differences. Do you, or are you just guessing that your current set-up is best?
