Ever since i put my air intake filter on my 98 civic ex, my check engine light goes on from time to time. The code is idle air system malfunction....what can i do to correct this problem?

don't know, but my light has been on since my 02 sensor, air int, and hi flow cat, so i am gonna pull the fuse out and put it back in, i heard it gets rid of the light

You could have jostled something loose when you installed the intake. Check all the sensors and hoses in the vicinity and make sure they're all connected up tight.

What kind of intake is it?

i agree with mxs...your could of just not pushed the senser in enoph for it to read right or mabey somethings blocking it to get the correct singnal

Its a ram air intake...one of those chrome and blue ones off ebay

I too agree with mxs, You need to take a good hard look at everything on or around the intake. Make sure all sensors are secure, as well as hoses. It would be great if you could get a few close up shots of the intake/engine area so that we could take a look at what you got as well. That might help us, to help you
