wouldnt black kinda heat things up?

 

AEM, Injen, K&N, Ice Man are some of the best brands for intakes. I think that Ice Man makes their intakes in black though along with blue, red and other colors. And you should be able to take out the old intake through the wheel well, by taking out the wheel well guard cover thing. Good luck

 

And black only attracts heat from light like from the sun, unless you are going to be driving without a hood you should be fine.
