Default Intake Pipe

Hi all,

I'm thinking of putting in a K & N Air Filter into my 1990 Civic, a question tho... Do i need to change the intake pipe that runs to the engine or its fine just adding the Air Filter?

I'm pretty new to this so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! =)

if ur just replacing the filter than no, u dont need to change the intake or anything. just buy the proper filter and replace the old filter.

Would replacing the intake pipe improve the performance and air flow into the engine?

How much does a pipe cost as well? THanks! =)

I noticed the intake pipe runs to and is connected to the "dual carb" box at the wall of the engine space, Mine's a EDM 1.5i GL. I understand this to be the header/manifold is that right? Sorry I'm new to this and don't really know the terms...

I've taken a look at pictures of some of the forum members engines and I notice that the intake pipe is connected to a rectangular box next to the engine...

If I were to purchase an air intake system like this one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHROM...QQcmdZViewItem, will it fit into the "Dual Carb" box?

All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! =)
