Default Multi intake idea

so i have a AEM CAI and in minnesota the risk sucking up water is high. So what i want to do is under the hood on the main intake pipe cut a hole and build a mounting place for another filter. so if it is raining or fing snowing i can cap the lower filter and run the other one. so basically a CAI and a SRI in one.. what do you guys think?

the bypass valve IS another filter. Seriously, just don't drive through 18" puddles . . .

they are pointless because it will only be sucking through the top filter all the time and give you little to no power. basically it will be a 200 buck SRI with a ton of custom modification done to it...not worth it at all.

unless you capped off the top when you were running it in CAI mode. Then swap the filter with the cap, making the filter uptop and cap on lower making it like a SRI

i actually just installed a cai as well. i was wondering tho, why not just stick the filter onto the end of the first half of the intake? mine came as two pipes that are connected. that way, wouldn't it be like a SRCAI? i'd still be getting cold air coz there is the opening from where my original intake was. maybe that would work for you?
