Default P0135 Problems

Ok,

Well i was driving my 97 civic the other day and the CEL came on. check it and got the following: "P0135 o2 sensor heater circuit malfuntion (bank1 sensor 1)"

My question is this: i have been seaching to find out exactly which sensor is bank 1 sensor 1, and cant find any info. My first guess is its the pre cat converter sensor. Am i wrong? Please help!

Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the pre cat sensor. Bank refers to which bank of cylinders, but since you have an I engine, there is only one bank. I checked the flow chart for this code, it says to turn the key to the off position. Disconnect the sensor. Check the resistance b/w the #3 terminal and ground. Check the resistance b/w the #4 terminal and ground. If there is continuity, then the sensor must be replaced. If there isn't continuity, there is a wiring problem. Terminals 3 and 4 are opposite teh clip on teh connector.
