Default Water on air filter.

Hey,

So i cleaned my air filter using a solution and water and i didnt let it dry long enough cause i had to go to work, so i put it back on (i know bad idea) and i think i sucked a lil water into the engine. It was running a lil inconsistant at the time but now its running alright except for right when i start it, it wont idle any lower than 1000 rpm... help? what do i do...

I dont need criticisms on how retarded i was. thanks.

Wink

Does the idle speed go down after it warms up? Higher idle at cold start is normal, after about a minute it should kick down. How dirty was the air filter? It could be that now it's clean, your engine is getting the correct mixture of air & gas in the combustion chamber and it was running inconsistently before because the mixture was too rich. I've got a K&N Lifetime in my Civic, after I cleaned it the engine ran hella better.

How much is a "little" water? Was the filter soaking wet when you put it back on? If it was just a little, I wouldn't be worried...at least I don't think so. Running inconsistent at the time this happened was probably just the water getting boiled out of the combustion chamber.

Anyway, no criticism from me! I've done WAY more stupid sh*t than that.
