Hi, I have civic ek-4 (98') it comes with b16a/2 and I've been trying to choose a muffler.
The thing is (as you may know) hatchbacks don't have almost any space at the back for mufflers, I'm looking at something like the apexi WS or the 5zigen border III, but this mufflers come in universal sizes and I don't know if they'll fit. maybe yoy know a place where I can check the sizes or maybe you know if they fit.
Theres a WS specially designed for ek-4 but it's like 580$, so i'll buy a header with that money...

hmmm element, im having the same problem as you with muffler size, I would just try to get under your car and measure roughly the size your car will allow, and look for a muffler that size, or look at some of the catback systems and see what size they are using! With my magnaflow muffler on stock piping, it is slightly pointed downwards from the bumper, because of size, see what you can find, and if i find something useful, ill pm u with the info

 

Magnaflow makes resonators, muffler, and high-flow cats. Get the biggest resonator you can possibly fit, a 2.25" inlet/oulet high school cat, and then a muffler (all Magnaflow) and i think you'd have a killer setup.

And glasspacks can be used for your resonator, but i couldnt tell ya how good it'd sound

first response up there sounds awsome, and so does the stock piping with the magnaflow. i got a megan racing muffler, with a silencer too for $90 bucks, the silencer is awsome when you just want it to shut the fluck up.
