Hey guys just picked up a civic and want to start modding the engine. I'll most likely be throwing a B-16 in it but not sure yet. I just want to get some suggestions from you guys. First off what is the best intake, exhaust, and headers to get for the money? I'm only 16 so i really dont have a deep pocket but would like pretty good parts with the most performance..thanks.

Also i want to mod the exhaust but i dont want it to be super loud cause i dont want to get hassled by the cops so what you guys think i should do?

Well since Im nice I'll tell you the best bang for the buck parts really quick...

Intake - AEM
Header - DC
Exhaust - Magnaflow or Custom

For the money those are very good parts. Hope that helps dude

 

aem is extremely overpriced for what you get... or that's just my opinion. i'd rather just get some pipes and filter and still get the (almost if not the same) power gain.

 

alright sweet thanks guys. now with my exhaust i was thinking of running a straight pipe right from the header out? but that might be too noisy...are their any tricks like that i can do? what you guys suggest?

 

I just got a Megan Catback and I love it. It's gotten good reviews from all those who have purchased one too. It wasn't expensive and you can do it youself in about an hour or 2 if you have the stands. Install was very simple. I got a link of it on the forums. Check it out, it also wasn't a big hurt in the pocket only 360$ with shipping.
