Default Anone know about resitors?

I have the LEDs. the forward wattage is typically 1.7 watts with a max of 2.4 watts. and its intensity is 3000mcd. I dont know what resistor i would need for that to wire it up to the cars power supply. Anybody know? thanks

need to know the forward voltage really, as well as it's maximum current, then use this convenient calculator, using the voltage source value (most likely 12V)
