I agree with above ^ I used to detail cars in a body shop. PPG is good stuff.

If your ever up here in Dayton. Theres a place called Performance Paint. I dont know if they have a web site or anything, but thats what the shop i worked for went through.

"i heard" that macco sells the paint they use. Im sure if your cars prepped a little better than they do... then it might turn out a little better. My friend got the 250$ paintjob deal and it sucks ***** to the wall bad! Paint chipping off and peeling. They didnt even tape it up that good. And they sprayed half his muffler... talk about some overspray!

For custom colors, go for HOK (House of Kolors).
For oem finish, go for Sikkens or Spies Heckers.
When all the colours are applied nicely, finish it off with Spies heckers HS (high solid) clear coats....

PPG sucks.....DuPont is where its at!!!(offical Paint of Nascar)
i sell dupont and when people come in to get another quart of PPG im like i dont got that nonsense so i mix up the DuPont and they are happier than ever. DuPont has more technology in their paint.

Plethoric33 ill talk to my boss and see if i can ship a gallon if you really need it just get me a make, year and paint code

We use PPG Base and Dupont Clear. The dupont clear totally eats the PPG clear. We don't use the Dupont base because the shops that sells it around here doesn't have a scanner... and with the cars today... For one paint number there is like up to 12 variations.... -_-

Its a 98 Civic LX. I cant find a paint code for the colors I want. Im looking for a burnt orange color. I know Sunburst Orange is whats on the new Cobalt coupes and I really like that. Anything close to that Id be happy with.
