How long & what temp. setting should you hold the hairdryer over the emblems b4 you realize they are starting to come off? Also, should you wash the back of your car to get all the dirt off coz I know when you wax it, the surface area has to be clean.

Stupid questions, but ones I need to know

You only use the hairdryer to warm the gooey stuff up before u use the dental floss. Heating it wont just make them fall off.

Use at medium to high heat for about 3-4 minutes about 6 inches from the paint (not right on it)

I knew my questions were stupid but neways, thx for the info polo...

For those of you who don't have pins holding the "H" onto the back of their car like mine, looks like the EP3 Red "H" seems to be much easier to put on as opposed to other models. I checked to see if my "H" had pins but it seemed to me I couldn't get to the back of it when I opened up the trunk.

I PMed JDM'ishFerio over at JDM Honda Civic Forum who had the EP3 emblem on his EK Civic. Here is what he replied to me: "Yeah, the EP3 H is a bit bigger thanthe EK one. It installs with sticky tape on the back. I don't remember, but I think there were pins on the back, but they need to be cut off. It's not that difficult at all. Use a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive, and stick it on."

Hope it's easy to install as he said it was

dude i jsut used a hammer and a screwdriver to tap out the pins in the "H" on the trunk. it doesnt take much heat to get the emblems to come off. a lot of the time if your car has been sittin in the sun for a bit they will come off w/o a hiardryer. thats what i did a few times.

Well my car stays in the garage when I'm at home so its not exposed to any sunlight unless I'm working. green98, when you put on your new "H" emblem, could you attach it to therear with adhesiveor did you have to go behind where the inside of the trunk is. I'm asking coz here is what the inside looks like of my car and it doesn't look like I can get behind where the "H" is located.

roe

jsut look around a little bit. it took me a minute to find them but they are 2 small while plastic clips. it will take a few minutes but just tap them out of the holes. its tough to do with me bing so tall but i managed to kinda sit in the trunk kinda and scope it out.the new H i got had 2 new plastic clips and a tiny strip of 2sided tape on the top of the ring around the H. it will pop right into place even and everything.
