I'm trying to find a gate shifter for the 05 Civic (ie. the one on MG racing website). I've tried to contact MG Racing but have been unable to contact them and their email address seems to not work. Anyone know a company that has the gate shifter frame for the civic? Can anyone help?

 

i've been wanting to make one for a while, ever since i drove this guy i know's 355 marinello (i have pics to prove it ) i've desperately wanted one. i have access to a good CNC machine so i may try to make one on there out of some aluminum. if it works i'll let you know and then tell me if you'd be interested in having one made

 

Are you guys referring to the metal things that pretty much replace the shift boot?

 

A gate shifter....is it the one that goes only backwards to shift or is it the back'n'forth one?

 

a gate shifter or gated shifter is a metal plate that replaces the shift boot and have slots for each of the gears. see these on the ferrari's.

Mossy, I've been looking for one of these things for my previous car for 4 years, and never found one and sold the car. Now that I have a 5 spd again I want one again. If you get one made send me pics, if I don't find one by then I'll probably get one from you. Thanks

I've seen it done on a Civic. It doesn't look good and makes the car seem cheap. Just my opinion, but they should stay on Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

 

true to the game. it might just not look right without being a 6spd
