Default My Paint

Well I just installed a stainless steel exhaust to my 02 honda civic and I'm havin a problem... My exhaust is a quater of an inch from the bumper and it heats up after a drive... My friend told me the heat might mess up my paint... Is there anything i can do to fix this? Like is there anything I can buy or add to help my paint or prevent the exhaust heat from messing up the paint? Thanks in advance for any advice...

Any way that you can bend the hanger to lower it a bit?

When i installed my cat-back, it was resting on the bottom of the bumper. That DEFINTELY ****ed my paint up, but its since been fixed, for the most part. Anyway, what i did was went to an exhaust shop and bought a universal rubber bracket, with like 5 holes in it. Then i just adjusted the height of the exhaust by hanigng it from the different holes until it fit right. But, in your case, I dont think it will affect it that much if its not even touching it

ive got a nice lookin tip and had it on for a year, it wil not mess up your paint. There is enough air circulation between the tip and cut out to keep it cool enough to where it wont mess up... check my pics in the photo gallery and youll see it.

I don't think it'll be a problem if it's not touching it.
