Noise w/Gutted interiors
I have my back seats out right now and I am getting sick of listening to the fuel pump and the trunk rattle, but hey, it's your car, gut and find out for yourself. You can always put it all back in if you get sick of it right? Weigh everything when you get it out and post about it. If you are getting serious about weight reduction, pull all of that sound deadener under the carpet like Sacs said. Dry ice, a bad *** scraper and a lot of elbow grease. Git 'er done.
Sacs, what the hell are you and LEVIII doing up so early? I know he is at work, but isn't it like 8 in the AM over there? Geez.

unless this is a designated track/drag/racing car, I'd advise against gutting the interior. Number one, the noise is just aweful. Why do you think they put all that stuff in there? People want a quiet ride! And number two, who's gunna wanna sit on the floor? [sm=lol.gif]
i agree with all of them ^^ noisy and not a good idea...also, you can get a ticket, my friend had his headliner out of his car and his back seat and the cop sead he was going to give him a ticket for a "unfinished interior" or somthing like that..(but he give him a ticket for his headlights instead)..but its not worth it
Stripping your daily driver is a dumb idea. You would'nt believe all the noise that you don't hear because of sound deadening, carpet, etc. There are some things that you can take off easily on race day and put back afterwards. See Weight Reduction 101- https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_53543/tm.htm
I'm use to hearing weird noises from driving my T/A. But I agree with you guys on this and it has changed my mind. A DD gutted out like that will just give me headaches and prolly **** me off every time I go over a bump. Good call [8D]
